Following are the Terms & Conditions of Talisman Jewellery, Bilgola Plateau, NSW, as of 21 October 2013. 

Terms are subject to change. The terms and conditions of your purchase from Talisman Jewellery will be subject to the terms at the time you make your purchase.

Privacy Policy - Your privacy is important to Talisman Jewellery. So we’ve developed a Privacy Policy that covers how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, and store your information. Talisman Jewellery complies with the Australian Government’s Privacy requirements. Our specific policies regarding your privacy follow:

Collection and Use of Personal Information - Personal information is data that can be used to uniquely identify or contact a single person. You may be asked to provide your personal information anytime you are in contact with Talisman Jewellery. We may also combine it with other information to provide and improve our products, services, content, and advertising.

How we use personal information - The personal information we collect allows us to keep you posted on Talisman Jewellery’s latest product announcements, product updates, and upcoming events or promotions. We may also use personal information for internal purposes such as auditing, data analysis, and research to improve Talisman Jewellery’s products, services, and customer communications. It also helps us to improve our services, content, and advertising. If you don’t want to be on our mailing list, you can opt out anytime by updating your preferences. 

It is important to note, that we may use personal information to communicate with you about purchases and services you have purchased, or attempted to purchase, whether or not you have opted out of our mailing list. These communications will be limited to administrative actions associated with a purchase, or attempted purchase. We may ask for further clarification about your order, respond to forgotten password enquiries, follow-up about abandoned carts, inform you of any production delays, notify you when your order ships, update shipment tracking enquiries, and other similar communications. 

We also collect non-personal information − data in a form that does not permit direct association with any specific individual. We may collect, use, transfer, and disclose non-personal information for any purpose. This information is aggregated and used to help us provide more useful information to our customers and to understand which parts of our website, products, and services are of most interest. Aggregated data is considered non-personal information for the purposes of this Privacy Policy.

Cookies and Other Technologies - Talisman Jewellery’s website, online services, interactive applications, email messages, and advertisements may use “cookies” and other technologies. These technologies help us better understand user behavior, tell us which parts of our website people have visited, and facilitate and measure the effectiveness of advertisements and web searches. We treat information collected by cookies and other technologies as non-personal information.

One of the tools Talisman Jewellery employs is Doubleclick. Doubleclick is owned by Google and is used to, without using personally identifiable information, profile users so that over time inferences can be made about the person's habits or interests.  Google insures that information gathered through Doubleclick is absolutely not sold to third parties, and is only shared with other parties, except in aggragated form. When the service is being used by a business for its advertising and marketing purposes, it owns that data, not Doubleclick.

Talisman Jewellery utilises this tool because we believe that: Doubleclick helps us, and other vendors, serve up ads to visitors that are  relevant to the people browsing. An example provided by Google explains, "You recently clicked a search result for a kayaking website. Later, when you search for 'vacations,' you might see an ad for a vacation destination where you can kayak." While this is hardly an exact science, experience shows that ads that use targeting are more likely to be clicked on. In other words, users prove that this tool is delivering relevancy with their clicks. Doubleclick also caps how frequently an advertisers ads are served, so that web users do not see the same ads over and over again. And finally double click offers web users the ability to control and block any or all advertisers. If you would like to opt out from receiving Doubleclick cookies, you simply need to visit Google's ad preferences manager (search for this term using your search engine of choice; you need not be logged in to Google), and select whether you want to opt out of interest-based ads on Google, or opt out of interest-based Google Ads Across the Web. You also have the ability to modify - add or take away - interests that the Doubleclick application associates with your browsing behaviour. It is your choice.

As is true of most websites, we gather some information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type and language, Internet service provider (ISP), referring and exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. We use this information to understand and analyze trends, to administer the site, to learn about user behavior on the site, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. Talisman Jewellery may use this information in our marketing and advertising services.

In some of our email messages, we use a “click-through URL” linked to content on the Talisman Jewellery website. When customers click one of these URLs, they pass through a separate web server before arriving at the destination page on our website. We track this click-through data to help us determine interest in particular topics and measure the effectiveness of our customer communications. If you prefer not to be tracked in this way, you should not click text or graphic links in the email messages.

Disclosure to Third Parties - Talisman Jewellery will not disclose your personal information to third parties. At this time we have no third-party agreements which in any way involve our customer data. Should this policy change in the future, we will never disclose your information to the third party, but instead will promote their service/product through communications we control. 

Service Providers - Talisman Jewellery does share your personal information with a companies who provide list management services including customer research or satisfaction surveys, as well as newsletter/promotional services. These companies are obligated to protect your information and may be located wherever Talisman Jewellery operates.

Protection of Personal Information - Talisman Jewellery takes precautions — including administrative, technical, and physical measures — to safeguard your personal information against loss, theft, and misuse, as well as against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

Children - We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected the personal information of a child under 13 we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible.

Third-Party Sites and Services - Talisman Jewellery websites, products, applications, and services may contain links to third-party websites, products, and services. Our products and services may also use or offer products or services from third parties. Information collected by third parties, which may include such things as location data or contact details, is governed by their privacy practices. We encourage you to learn about the privacy practices of those third parties.

Delivery Policy - Talisman Jewellery offers a range of delivery options to make it easy for you to shop with us. All of these options are aimed at getting products to you as quickly as possible wherever you are in Australia. International Order are accepted, however, additional shipping charges and conditions apply. The processing of orders and all deliveries are made Monday to Friday excluding public holidays. Most non-customised orders will be shipped within three business days. If your order will take longer than that, we will advise you by e-mail. If a delayed shipment is unacceptable to you, you may contact us and cancel or modify your order without penalty. Orders may be shipped via Australia Post or private carrier at our sole discretion. Weekend delivery service is subject to the capabilities of our carrier, and cannot be guaranteed. 

No pick-ups are possible at this time, but special "rush" deliveries within the Sydney Metropolitan area may be accommodated at our discretion. Please contact us at admin@talismanjewellery.com.au should you require a special delivery. You may be advised of any additional delivery charges (if any), before you place your order.

Security and Transmission of Payment Card Details - All credit card transactions and details on this website are secured via a 128 bit SSL. Online transaction are processed through thrid-party gateways, and no credit card information is stored on our site(s). If you have any concerns about the safety of this site please contact us.

Return items - If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, in addition to your rights as a consumer under the Trade Practices Act 1974 and other applicable Australian consumer protection laws and regulations, you may also be eligible to return the item for a refund under Talisman Jewellery's Sale and Refund Policy (as described below).

Returns policy - To return an item, please contact admin@talismanjewellery.com.au to verify return instructions, before returning any item. All returns must be authorised in advance. 

For eligible products (excludes made-to-order, or customised items), you have up to 7 calendar days from the time you receive your item(s) to initiate a return. The returned item(s) must be returned in the original packaging in as-new condition, including any gift packaging. Customised orders cannot be returned, unless we have failed to follow instructions given us on your initial order. If we have failed to follow instructions, you will have the option of a replacement item, or a refund. Clearance items cannot be returned unless they are damaged in transit. Goods are to be returned registered mail. Return postage will not be reimbursed, however if a replacement item is requested, it will be shipped from Talisman Jewellery without an additional charge.

Refund methods - Your refund will be issued after we receive your item(s) at Talisman Jewellery. The way your refund is processed depends on your original payment method.

Credit card refunds will be sent to the card-issuing bank within five (5) business days of receipt of the returned package. Please contact the card-issuing bank with questions about when the credit will be posted to your account. For PayPal transactions, please allow up to 5 days for Talisman Jewellery to post the refund to your account. If you paid via by credit card, eChecque, or interbank transfer via PayPal, PayPal may return that to your account, or leave it as a PayPal credit. Please contact PayPal for details. For cheque/money order/ direct deposit payments, you will need to provide us with your bank details, please allow up to 5 days for Talisman Jewellery to post the refund to your account.

Return status - Normally, we will update your account, that we have received your item within two days of having received it. In some cases, this may take up to ten days. When the return is confirmed we will process the refund within 1 business day. Please contact admin@talismanjewellery.com.au to obtain up-to-date return and refund information. 

Incorrect or damaged items - If you received the wrong product or it was damaged during shipping, please contact Talisman Jewellery Store by email: admin@talismanjewellery.com.au. 

Governing Law - These terms and conditions shall be governed by the law in force in the State of New South Wales, Australia or, where applicable, the Commonwealth of Australia, and the parties expressly submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State or, where applicable, of the Commonwealth, and the courts of appeal from them for determining any dispute concerning your agreement with us.

Currency of Transactions - All invoices issued by Talisman Jewellery are in Australian Dollars (AUD), and all electronic transactions on this website are in Australian Dollars (AUD).
